Les missions peuvent être couvertes par l’argent du PNCG obtenu pour CMB-France.
Nous reviendrons vers vous pour l’agenda mais l’idée est de poursuivre sur le même thème que les colloques de 2021:
– présenter les nouveautés scientifiques et les nouveaux résultats dans le domaine
– donner un statut sur l’avancement des expériences ou des projets en cours
– permettre aux jeunes (post-doc, PhD) et aux moins jeunes de présenter leur travailtransmis par M. Tristram & F. Bouchet
2. Ecole EUCLID: la science des futurs grands relevés cosmologiques (16-26 aout 2022, Banyuls)
Comme chaque année se tient l’école d’été ouverte à tous (avec 3 niveaux): “LA SCIENCE DES FUTURS GRANDS RELEVÉS COSMOLOGIQUES” qui se tiendra à Banyuls du 16 aout au 26 aout à Banyuls.
L’objectif prioritaire est d’offrir à la communauté “Énergie noire”, mais aussi des autres champs de la cosmologie, une initiation et un approfondissement aux problématiques des grands relevés cosmologiques.
N’hésitez pas s’il vous plaît à le faire savoir dans votre entourage aux jeunes chercheu.ses.rs qu’ils ou elles soient thésard.e.s (et tout particulièrement ceux qui commenceront une thèse en 2022), post-doc ou permanents et à les encourager à proposer leur candidature.

4. Postdoctoral fellow in instrumentation for CMB experiments at Stockholm

We are advertising a 3-year postdoctoral fellow position, to work with Dr. Jon E. Gudmundsson on a project in cryogenic optics funded by an ERC Starting Grant. The CMBeam program involves aspects in optical instrumentation, simulation, and analysis for experiments studying the cosmic microwave background, including the Simons Observatory, the LiteBIRD satellite, and the Taurus balloon-borne experiment.
The principal aim of CMBeam is to advance aspects of cryogenic optics for millimetre wavelengths. Efforts include the construction of a state-of-the-art cryogenic holography facility for the purposes of testing optical systems of current and future experiments. This infrastructure will facilitate calibration efforts for upcoming CMB experiments such as the Simons Observatory and enable the development of optical measurement techniques that are critical for next-generation experiments.

5. Postdoc in Galaxy Cluster Cosmology at Argonne
Deadline: Aug 1, 2022, until filled
The Cosmological Physics and Advanced Computing (CPAC) group at Argonne invites applicants for a postdoctoral associate to conduct research on topics related to galaxy clusters and SZ cosmology from CMB surveys. The successful applicant will be expected to work on projects connected to the SPT-3G and CMB-S4 cluster cosmology efforts, related cross-correlation activities with DES and Rubin’s LSST, as well as to explore their own independent research program. The position, with an anticipated start date (with some flexibility) of January 3, 2023, is renewable annually for up to three years based on satisfactory performance.
Our postdocs can benefit from strong collaborations with cosmologists, applied mathematicians, computer scientists, device physicists, materials scientists, and statisticians; they will also have access to world-leading supercomputing resources. Interactions with research groups at Fermilab, the University of Chicago, and Northwestern University are highly encouraged. 6. Research Asst Professor at University of Chicago

The Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics at The University of Chicago invites applications for a Research Assistant Professor position. The Research Assistant Professor will work in cosmic microwave background (CMB) science and contribute to the Department’s CMB research program, in particular in the operation of and analysis of data from the South Pole Telescope (SPT) and developing the design of the next-generation CMB experiment CMB-S4. The person hired will be responsible for designing and writing software to control large telescopes and in developing low-level and high-level data analysis code.
The term of the appointment will be for up to three years with the possibility of renewal, and is expected to begin in summer 2022.
